Can You Feel the Momentum?

Q: Can You Feel the Momentum?

A: Happy glorious new moon in Scorpio marked with a swiftness upon the horizon. Mars is the god of war and also refers to a planetary body that rules over our actions, aggressions, and masculinity. With this fierce warrior planet now direct after a long Mars retrograde through its home sign of Aries, we may finally access the realm of decisiveness, clarity, and revivalist chutzpah that has been lacking the past several months. Emerging from a chaotic deep-dive review of our beingness, we will be gaining speed by the day while noting the revelatory insights gleaned from our recent past.

The astrology of the times has been anything but boring and the turning of the tides at the end of 2020 will not disappoint. This new moon sextiles the trinity of Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn---by default, indicating a powerful force of just the right kind of energy we’ve been yearning for. Not to mention we are in the last sparkle of the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction (not to occur again for 12 years) in Capricorn (which won’t host these two again in our lifetime). Jupiter the amplifier and expander of all within its sphere has been traversing the Capricornian kingdom during 2020. We can thank Jupiter for turning up the volume on the relentless, transformative, upheaval-ish churn ushered in by the Pluto/Saturn conjunction that initiated our decade on January 12th.

Pluto, god of the underworld, lord of death, rebirth, and transformation isn’t done with us yet. With this benefic kiss from Jupiter, Pluto is hard at work to articulate and bring to light the seething corruption within our governmental sphere. Change is not only inevitable, it is reality. A blossoming politic of the future is gestating within the seedlings of hope we catch wind of erratically. Nothing about this year has been status quo, as the status quo is on trial. Who will win this electoral vote---The way things have been or a new vision of possibility? For the moment, these questions are poetic. In 12-15 years, we may be living these questions into embodied answers.

Solstice, December 21st, Saturn and Jupiter come together, “hand-in-hand” guiding us into the realm of Aquarius. The momentum felt today by Mars, now shifted into a direct mode, is urging us in this direction with incredible authority. 2021 will be a very different flavor with these two Lords illuminating the water bearer’s humanitarian, innovative, and eclectic nature.

The constellation of Capricorn is the bridge weaver from one year to the next spanning from December into January. The indications of our current decade becoming the metaphoric global butterfly, yet witnessed on such a guttural level, have been written in the stars for as long as people have been reading these luminary bodies of light. We look to Capricorn as the captain of the zodiac and the leader of this battle of the psyche, not only in the collective mind but also for each of us personally.

A question for you… Where is Capricorn in your chart? This area has been the greatest source of your personal transformation this year, in recent years past, and a few more years to come. Educate yourself to empower your inner work through astrology

So what can we expect on this new moon? Scorpio is ruled by both Pluto and Mars, providing us with galvanizing access to our inner power of renewal. We’ve waded this far into the depth of the scorpionic waters and there truly is no return. With the sextiles to Jupiter/Pluto/(Saturn), one must learn to swim in these incessant tides of change and will have the encouragement to do so. How we do this is up to each one of us. Will we tread with stamina? Dance and flow with elegance and grace? Sink with a paralyzed fear? Or float in the uncertainty through surrender? The answer lives in your destiny unfolding. Look to the full moon eclipse on November 30th as the beholder of your imminent internal revelations.

We cannot change the world until we accept we are the world. This is the new conversation.
