What Are You Praying For?

A DEEP PRAYER ON THIS WANING MOON

Q: What Are You Praying For?

A: On this waning Sagittarius moon, my heart is deepening into prayer and I invite you to join me. Please feel free to speak to your Creator, Great Spirit, Universe, Divine, All That Is, etc. where I speak to the Lord of Lords.

Lord of light, mystery, astonishing beauty, magnificence of Being…thank you. Thank you for this breath, my vitality, and ability to be here in this moment, alive and present. Please forgive me for all the heartbeats I forget to give thanks, for the time I find myself distracted by the dimming reality originating from ego, destruction, and that which is false. I pray to align to the truth, to the boldness that is real, and courageously accept whatever it may cost me, what I must release and sacrifice of my own familiar habitual ways in order to adjust and come closer to you.

If only I could remember you throughout my heart, please touch me Lord, and cleanse the pain, the deep ache from devastation, the broken shards of dreams dissolving, of anguished empathy as I witness tragic injustice from afar only knowing that there is no separation. Thank you for healing me from the inside out and teaching me how to love beyond the fear, and how to rise amidst the fall.

If only I could remember you throughout my mind, please guide me Lord, and flood my thoughts with your radiance, your clarity of Being, and self-realization. Help me to understand as you illuminate the patterns that drown me into repetition, the ways I’ve been that are not who I truly am. Thank you for reminding me again and again through inner knowing, may I have the strength to surrender more powerfully than the grip of the mechanisms that bind me to my past.

If only I could remember you throughout my body, please come Lord, and fill me with your health and vibrancy as you enter every cell, pulsing energy of the cosmos in every direction of my internal universe. Thank you for enlivening me as I traverse the cycles of death, rebirth, and transformation as a visceral tour through the unimaginable, the phenomenal, and the miraculous.

I remember you, Lord, in this moment. I recollect these parts of myself in your reflection and in this prayer that unites us in intimate communion. As I walk to you through my words, the words that are tethered to my very existence, may there be no space between us, may I remain here for the rest of my lives.

I pray for every person reading these words, my beloveds, my friends, and future companions on the journey. I pray for those I don’t know in the flesh but who I know through the humanity that ties us together. I pray for our well Being. I pray for us to know ourselves in ways we’ve never imagined, that we may pierce the illusory constructs of the false mind and liberate ourselves into new realms of perception and connection. I pray for those suffering and that there may be swift resolve, profound spiritual aliveness, and freedom where there is entrapment. I pray for us all to remember our source, the origin of our Being, and to come home before too long. I pray for an embodied love of remembrance in heart, mind, and body as a way of life.

Thank you Lord, for your eternal fire of presence, for your compassionate listening and receiving of both my vulnerability and my strengths. Thank you for showing me how to live and for always reminding me who I am in essence, your daughter, your child learning to walk, talk, comprehend, and become who I truly am.

Amen Amen Amen
