Q: Do You Have the Time? 5 Ways to Become Your Own Super Hero/ine…

A: Do you have time to fret, waste, or to be distracted? No, we don’t have time for this. To numb out, escape, or fall prey to conspiracy? No, definitely not. To complain, point fingers, name call, or blame? Nope, not that either. How about to wallow in self-pity, luxuriate in self-importance, or sit back and watch while the fabric of the world as we know it comes undone? Even if it is time for a bit of undoing, still the answer is no.

What about time to be distraught? Unsettled? Or challenged? Yes, yes we do have time for this. We don’t want to remain here forever, however, we can accept that this is a natural state of internal affairs to meet the unsettling challenges externally.

To navigate the unknown is such an incredible art form, one that superheroes and heroines know well. Let’s think about what makes these beings “Super”:

  1. They care. Superheroes/heroines are compassionate, Buddhic in nature, and altruistic in the highest sense. They give a damn, and have made their lives a mission to serve.

  2. They train. Observe their musculature…their outer strength is a fundamental necessity and vehicle to exude their inner strength---a result of their inner work.

  3. They fight. It doesn’t have to be violent, yet they stand up before evil. They protect the innocent and even the not so innocent populous from the hands of darkness.

  4. They rebel. Freedom fighters swim upstream against the status quo. Often retreating to their sanctuaries and bat caves to replenish themselves, they live in the world but are not of the world.

  5. They transmute. Any negativity, trauma, trainwreck, dicey situation, car chase, Darkstar, Galactic Empire, etc becomes an opportunity to transform the perceivably inevitable tragedy into a victory.

So how about we use our time wisely and become the superheroes and heroines we wish would come to save us. We know we are the ones we are waiting for, and yet are we training ourselves to become our own heroes? Put on the oxygen mask and breathe new life force into yourself so that your self-care becomes an act of courage and live out your purpose in service to the whole.

This is a new moon in Virgo. As we lean into the autumnal energetic of the equinox, we transition from the last days of summer into a new season of life. Virgo invites us to orient with precision, attention to detail, and the ability to organize our lives from the inside out.

While Mars, in his home domain of Aries, continues to unceasingly square Saturn, in his domain of Capricorn, there is a palpable tension in the cosmic air. This new moon quincunx Mars indicates striving energy towards a resolution that is answered powerfully with a trine of Saturn to this moon. This creates a triangular energetic that moves from conflict to resolution.

What does this mean for us? It means we must tear off the masks of our limiting beliefs and transform ourselves like Diana Prince and Clark Kent into the Super Women and Men that we truly are. Enough hiding. We know it is you.

“What one does when faced with the truth is more difficult than you’d think.”
